The Cal Poly Humboldt men’s lacrosse club invites both experienced players and people picking up a stick for the first time to join. Annual team dues are around $200 per player.
An ancient sport native to North America, lacrosse contains many elements of basketball, soccer and hockey and is often called the "fastest game on two feet."
Since 1983, the men's team has competed in the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League and traditionally plays other Division II Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association squads including UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, Saint Mary's College, San Jose State, Southern Oregon University, Sierra Nevada University and Chico State. Players must be enrolled as a Cal Poly Humboldt student and meet MCLA/WCLL academic requirements to play in league games
