Sports Clubs

Hello Amazing Sport club folks!

As we look forward to another season of club sports, we want to update you on some recent changes due to the rapid spread of the new covid variant.

Before teams return to practice, teams members need to take a local Covid test and have negative test results.  Please plan for your team members to get tested as soon as possible upon their return.

Also, we encourage team members to get boosted as soon as possible.  With the new variant, if someone on the team tests positive for covid, all exposed team members that are not currently boosted will need to quarantine for 5 days.  Non-vaccinated folks with an exception will need to quarantine for 10 days.  This could greatly impact the teams ability to practice and play in any competitions.

For any competition/game on campus, any non-Humboldt student or staff member attending must bring proof of vaccination (including booster as of January 23rd) in order to come to the event. Students and staff will need to be prepared to show their ID to verify they are in compliance with Humboldt's vaccination/testing policy to attend.

Let us all do our part to keep each other safe so we can continue to play.  Thank you for your help in this effort.

The Sports Club program at Cal Poly Humboldt provides opportunities for students to participate in a competitive sport and compete with other off-campus clubs and Universities. Each Sport Club has a volunteer coach that will lead the team. The goal for sports club membership is to provide leadership experiences for students as well as providing skill development, fitness, and strength building in a competitive arena to showcase students' athleticism.
